SEO Tips for Your Content
Sep 27th, 2009 by Reading and Writing
When you want to write articles or website content specifically around the SEO perspective, you will do well to follow this tips to ensure your work is worthy of the cause.
1. Write your pieces to the point and never deviate from this. At the end of the day, search engine users do not want to read something entirely different to what they were searching for.
2. Never write any kind of personal opinion in your work because this ultimately not only wastes the searchers time, you will waste space for no reason.
3. When optimising for a keyword, don’t use the same variation throughout; mix and match. For example, if your keyword/phrase is black dog collars, you can vary this with dog collars that are black, dark dog collars, etc.
4. When writing for another person, make sure you stay true to the instructions. Not doing this means you could forfeit your payment as well as ruin your reputation.
5. Steer clear of too many pronouns in your article, while making sure it is clear and simple to read.
6. You should try and avoid elaborate, fancy wording in the content as a reader will be looking to quickly go through the article to locate what they are looking for/interested in.
7. When writing your article down, always make sure you keep the intended audience well and truly in mind. If you have received specific guidelines for the work at hand, make sure you stick to these carefully. If a particular perspective has to be followed, for example as a traveller, then make sure you stick to these client requests.
8. Proofread your finished work with a fine tooth comb before even thinking about sending off the completed work to your client. Spelling and grammar mistakes are a quick route to the doghouse.
