Getting Your Website Posted on Google’s Page One
Nov 21st, 2009 by Reading and Writing
If your website isn’t on the first page of Google it is virtually invisible. Very few people visit the sites on the second page of Google. Being in the top ten is important as taught in ppc bully. If your site is not on the first few pages, it is unlikely that your web site will ever be seen - except by you and your friends!
Google takes into consideration many factors before listing your website in the top ten. But no one knows exactly how much weight Google attaches to each factor. Because of this, no one can guarantee you the number 1 spot in Google or any other search engine.
Getting on the first page of Google can be tedious but is possible if you follow some SEO guidelines. Getting listed on the first page of Google depends on a number of factors:
* The target keyword
* How many websites target the same keyword phrases
* The size of your website
* How well you use keywords on your site
* Number of baclinks pointing to your website
To get to the top ten of Google, first make sure that your website outshines the competition. Add regular features, articles and special offers, give your visitors good reason to return to your site. Being the best means you have to constantly research and improve for your target customers.
Research the keyword that you wish to target. Make sure to add these keywords in the website title and content of your website. Do not over do this. Mix up your keyword phrases, and make sure your text doesn’t sound stilted or un-natural.
Link back to your website as much as you can. Each links counts as a vote in your favour and is a key factor in search engine optimisation.
While SEO is important and worth paying for if you can afford it, there are some things you can do if you are on a tight budget. Remember that search engine optimization results take time especially if the keyword that you have identified have a lot of competition.
