American History Books

Do you know your history? I recall a teacher back in high school asking me this question. However, it’s all relative isn’t it? I mean, what history is he referring to? There are oodles of it to know, regarding a million different things. Okay, so maybe he was talking specifically about American history, since that was the class I was sitting in.
Anyway, I think it’s fair to say that we can’t all know the history of everything. That would be just way too much to absorb. However, you can pick a few subjects to acquire history on. My father was always interested in the history of Native Americans. When I was little, I never really understood why. But, now that I’m older, I know that my grandmother, his mother, is half Native American.
Hey, that’s pretty cool if you ask me. I guess that makes me like an eighth Native American. Regardless, there are many ways we can learn about Native American heritage now days. Have you read any good native american books lately?
I don’t have too many friends who take the time to read native american books. Most of them are far too consumed with fiction novels like the rest of us. However, native american books can be very interesting if you take the time to check them out. I will admit that it is fun and fairly exciting to learn the ways of the Natives in this country.
I had no idea about how the Native American women lived until I took a gander at some native american books. They basically did all the work back in the day. I mean all the work. They washed all the clothing, prepared all the food, did any and all cleaning, and took care of the kids. Not to mention they had to take care of the men as well. This is all clear in specific native american books.
Now, you’re probably wondering what in the heck the men were good for. Well, the men did all the hunting and fighting. That was their thing. It sort of reminds me of the way lions live. The gender duties are similar.
If you are on the look-out for some decent native american books, I can tell you the absolute best place to begin your search. It’s in your very own living room. Yeah, that’s right; you don’t even have to venture out to a massive bookstore. Check out all the great native american books on the Internet. Sites such as Amazon.com always have what you’re looking for.
